About

Hi!

I am a photographer, storyteller, painter, woodworker, and all around craftsperson and artist based in Southern Maine. My artistic pursuits tend to ebb and flow with the seasons, but photography has always remained a constant. After taking a film photography class at summer camp, I was gifted my first camera when I was in high school and have been documenting my friends and our lives for over a decade now.

I got my professional start doing senior portraits and headshots and pivoted to branded and commercial content for many years. I’ve had the privilege of working with several wonderful outdoor brands, summer camps, and local businesses.

My interest in documentary photography came from summer camp. I was working as the associate director when our usual photographer was unable to make it to camp that summer. I spent the next two summers capturing the raw and candid joy of summer camp, from the big smiles at capture the flag, to quiet reflective moments by the lake. Being able to share these images with families back at home — images that so perfectly captured the nostalgia and childhood magic of camp — was some of the most meaningful photography work I felt like I had done in years. After spending years doing product photography and user generated content that would be posted in social media ads to promote the consumer culture I so desperately was looking to escape — this was something real.

These days I hope to be a storyteller. Documenting real stories. The raw and candid ones. The hauntingly beautiful ones.
